Patta founders Edson Sabajo and Guillaume Schmidt were interviewed by Karolien Knols of the Volkskrant about their upcoming exhibition at Het HEM.
Kim Tuin, director of Het HEM, asked Edson and Guillaume to curate the first exhibition at the new art institute opening June 21st on the fringes of Amsterdam. Housed within an almost 10,000m2 former ammunitions factory, Het HEM will combine the presentation of highly relevant visual art with programming in music, performance and dance, the organization of socially critical public programs and participatory, educational activities.
LAGOS SKATEPARK CROWDFUNDING
Lagos based skate store WafflesnCream and a group of Nigerian skaters recently started a GoFundMe campaign to build West-Africa's first skatepark. As one of the first & only skate shops in the region, WafflesnCream has been promoting skateboarding in Lagos for the past four years.
Since the city only has a few spots to skate available in the city, and the quarter pipe they built has been broken down and thrown away, they want to raise £35,000 to build a concrete park with expert skate ramp builders....
